Another member of the Ulster Unionist Party has confirmed his defection to the Conservatives.
James Leslie, a former MLA and member of the Policing Board, says he has made the move because of a lack of "fresh thinking" in all of the North's political parties.
Earlier this year, two other UUP members - Peter Bowles and Philip Smith - also defected to the Tories.
The Conservatives say Mr Leslie's decision this week shows that the British opposition party is serious about organising in the North.
