Capital funding allocations for the Department of the Environment have reached the two billion euro mark.
That's an increase of almost 125 million euro on last year.
Housing will be the main priority for the Department in 2007, with water services, the local government fund and the Environmental Protection Agency also in line for funding.
An Bord Pleanala and the Heritage sector will benefit to the tune of around 41 million euro.
