Driving-test waiting times down six weeks since February

Published 09/10/2006

The average waiting time for a driving test has reportedly been slashed by six weeks over the past seven months.

Reports this morning say motorists were being forced to wait 34 weeks for a test in February, but this had fallen to 28 weeks by last month.

The decrease is being attributed to the hiring of record numbers of driving testers in recent years.
