Dublin man convicted of money-laundering escapes jail sentence

A 39 year-old former second hand car salesman has escaped a jail term for moneylaundering through his business for a Dublin criminal.

James Naylor of Pine Forest Road, Glencullen in South County DUblin was convicted in November of having vehicles which represented the proceeds of another person's drug dealing and of possessing 53 thousand euro representing the proceeds of another person's crimes on dates between March 2001 and June 2003.

He's been handed a seven year suspended sentence.
