Dublin man handed four year sentence for instigating high speed chase

A heroin addict has been given a four year prison sentence, with the last two years suspended, for leading gardai on a high speed chase in January 2006.

24-year-old Thomas Gough of Captains Road, Crumlin pleaded guilty to dangerous driving on the M50 -Tallaght Bypass in a stolen car.

Gough with 23 previous convictions has been disqualified from driving for five years.
