Garda€ make no arrests in €60,000 drug seizure in Cork

Gardai are to send a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions after releasing three people without charge in connection with a drugs seizure in East Cork on Friday.

Officers arrested a man in his 50s, a woman in her early 20s and a 17 year old girl at a rented farmhouse in the Leamlara area around 11am on Friday morning.

The three were arrested after the discovery of three kilos of amphetamines with a street value of €60,000. The man was brought to Middleton Garda station while the women were taken to Cove where they were questioned about the find.

The 17 year old girl was released on Friday night while the other two were released yesterday morning at about 11am all without charge.
