Husband of Siobhan Kearney sent forward for trial

The husband of Siobhan Kearney, who was found dead at her south Dublin home last year, has been sent forward for trial at the Central Criminal Court.

Fifty-year-old Brian Kearney was charged last month with her murder at Knocknashee, Goatstown, in February 2006.

The 38-year-old mother-of-one was strangled with the flex of a vacuum cleaner.

Her three-year-old son was in the house at the time.

Mr Kearney appeared at Dun Laoghaire District Court this morning and the DPP informed the court that the book of evidence was ready.

He was sent forward to be tried for her murder at the Central Criminal Court.
