Irish bosses not scrooges at Christmas time

It seems Irish bosses are no scrooges when it comes to splashing the cash on their workers at Christmas.

A survey by RecruitIreland.com shows 82% of companies pay for the staff Christmas party.

And almost half of all workers will receive a bonus this December, up from just a third last year.

But companies do expect hard work in return - the majority of employees surveyed put in more than 40 hours a week.
