Irish Red Cross begins Christmas child soldier campaign

The Irish Red Cross has appealed for donations to their Christmas campaign to help child soldiers.

It's estimated that half a million children around the world are forced to serve as soldiers, while many other children in war-torn regions are in danger of being conscripted into armies.

Last year, the I-R-C helped rescue a thousand children from servitude, but the organisation has said the task is immense.
