A man has been charged over the murder of Thomas Berry

A 22-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a wedding guest, police said.

Ricky Shaw is charged with stabbing 34-year-old Thomas Berry near a wedding reception in Bilston, West Midlands, on July 10.

Mr Berry, a father of two, was stabbed in the chest during a brawl.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "A 22-year-old man from Bilston, named during the week as Ricky Shaw, has been charged with the murder of Thomas Berry.

"He has been remanded into custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Monday morning."

Shaw, from Bilston, was arrested in Willenhall, West Midlands, on Friday evening.

Three other people suffered stab injuries during the violence, which led to the arrest of three men who have since been granted police bail.
