Man due in court in Ennis over death of father of three

A 26 year old man is due to appear before a special sitting of Ennis District Court this morning, charged in connection with the death of a father of three in Ennis last weekend.

Thirty year old Charlie McDonagh of Bridgecourt, Ennis, died after sustaining a number of stab injuries, following an altercation at the estate in the early hours of last Sunday morning.

Residents at the Bridge Court estate described hearing repeated screams at about 2am.

The brother of the deceased sustained serious injuries to his arms during the incident, while their sister received superficial injuries.
