A 20-year-old man is due in court in Limerick today in connection with a shooting incident in the Ballyneety area last Tuesday.
A number of shots were fired at a van during the drive-by attack on the Limerick to Bruff road in Ballyneety.
However, the occupant escaped uninjured.
The shooting is understood to be related to the long-running feud between rival criminal gangs in Limerick which has claimed six lives in recent years.
It happened less than two days after the murder of 21-year-old Frankie Ryan in the Moyross area of the city.
