A foreign national who orally raped two Dublin women within days of each other early last year has been jailed for 15 years.
Mr Justice Paul Carney took into account when sentencing that 22-year-old Asogan Kanagasabai, with no fixed address here, filmed his attack on one of the victims and threatened to place it on YouTube.
He pleaded guilty to both counts of rape against him.
The court heard Kanagasabai approached the first victim, in her 20s, while she walked home and told her he had a knife and would kill her unless she cooperated with his demands for sex.
Some days later, he subjected his second victim, a schoolgirl, to a 45-minute attack and she also thought he was going to kill her.
Kanagasabai told Gardai he had taken drugs on both occasions, smoking very strong cannabis and taking ecstacy pills.
the court also heard that he himself had been repeatedly sexually abused as a seven-year-old boy until the age of 15.
Mr Justice Paul Carney, in jailing him for 15 years, took into account his threat to disfigure one of his victims' face with a screwdriver, the fact that he videotaped one of the acts with his phone and threatened to place the recording on YouTube.
