The final inmate in a group of six men who took part in a riot at St Patrick's Institution in Dublin was today handed down a three year sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Four prison officers were injured in the incident on St Stephen's Day.

The other five men also received two or three year jail terms with the final year suspended after they pleaded guilty to violent disorder in December.
