A memorial mass will take place in Co Limerick today for Irish climber Gerard Mc Donnell.
The 37-year-old was killed in an icefall on the 1st of August last, just hours after he became the first Irishman to climb K2 in Pakistan - the world's second highest peak.
The ceremony will take place at half past one this afternoon in Kilcornan community centre.
