A motorcyclist has been killed in crash on the outskirts of Belfast.

The 41-year-old man died after his bike was involved in a collision with a car and van on the Crumlin Road.

No one else was injured in the incident on the Horseshoe bend around 1pm on Sunday.

North Belfast Councillor Nichola Mallon expressed her condolences to the man's family.

"This is a tragic accident and I wish to express my heartfelt sympathy to the family of the man whose life was claimed by this crash," said the SDLP representative.

"It is not the first time that a fatal motorbike accident has occurred in this area and is a sad reminder of the dangers which are ever present on our roads."
