Monsignor Brendan Kelly is to be ordained a Bishop of the Diocese of Achonry today.
The Archbishop of Armagh Cardinal Se€n Brady will be the principle consecrator at the ordination in Roscommon this afternoon.
Monsignor Kelly was ordained a priest for the diocese of Galway in 1971.
In 1996 he was appointed as parish priest of Lisdoonvarna in Co Clare, and from 2003 until now he has been parish priest of Spiddal in Galway.
