Published 04/03/2007

A Continental Airlines aeroplane has been quarantined at Dublin Airport after a number of passengers became ill with a suspected case of food poisoning.

According to a spokesperson for Dublin Airport Authority, the scheduled flight from Newark landed in Dublin at around 8pm yesterday.

25 passengers, who had all eaten in the same restaurant the night before, complained of being ill.

Twelve of them were suffering from severe vomiting and diarrhoea.
