Police in the North are investigating two suspected arson attacks in Derry this morning.
In the first incident a man suffered burns to his back and legs after his shed was set on fire.
He was treated in hospital for his injuries.
Substantial damage was caused to two houses in the vicinity.
In a separate incident, an hour later, another fire was started in a shed at Roe Mill Gardens.
A 76-year-old woman was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation
Police are appealing for information about both incidents.
