An award-winning police officer is among three people being questioned in the North under the Sexual Offences Act.
Constable Chris Murdoch, who is based in Coleraine, was named as the Community Police Officer of the Year in 2006.
He was arrested on Tuesday along with another man and a woman following PSNI raids in Coleraine and Castlerock.
Detectives have been granted another 36 hours to question the three.
