Record attendance levels in Croke Park boosted by rugby and soccer games

Published 05/08/2007

Attendance at Croke Park is expected to break records this year.

It is estimated that more than two million people will have attended matches at the stadium by the end of the year.

That compares to just over 1.3 million in 2006.

This year's figure includes attendance at rugby and soccer internationals.

This weekend alone, the GAA is expected to make more than €2 million from matches.
