The running of the health and education systems should be dramatically overhauled.
That is the verdict of a new report into the Irish public service.
The OECD report calls for the establishment of a single, high-level group to lead the transformation and reform of the public service.
The report says despite progress the public service here remains disjoined and is not focussed enough on serving the public.
The report will be officially launched by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.
