Snow causes flight delays and dangerous road conditions

Published 02/02/2009 | 07:46

Snow showers are causing flight delays and hazardous road conditions in many parts of the country this morning.

The east and the midlands are bearing the brunt of the cold weather, with roads said to be very dangerous after a night of hail, sleet and snow.

Flights between Dublin and London have been disrupted by adverse conditions on both sides of the Irish Sea.

Met Eireann is warning that snow showers will continue to affect east Leinster today.
