Taoiseach pays tribute to public servants working at Christmas

The Taoiseach is calling on the public to remember those in the public service who are working today on behalf of all Irish people.

In his annual Christmas address, Mr Ahern said the public owe a debt of gratitude to servants of the State on a day like Christmas Day.

The Taoiseach added that people should bear in mind the great commitment that Irish men and women are making on a daily basis at home and around the world.
