Three held over pipe bombs find in Dublin

Detectives investigating dissident republicans tonight arrested two men and a

woman after finding suspected pipe bombs in a north Dublin house.

Army bomb disposal experts were called to the scene at Ulster Street, in

Phibsboro, to make the devices safe.

Several homes in the area were evacuated at around 4.30pm.

Two men and a woman, all in their 30s, who were at the house when it was

raided, are being held at Donnybrook and Blackrock Garda stations, in south

Dublin.

They are being questioned under section 30 of the Offences against the State

Act.
