Published 13/11/2008

Three men have been remanded in custody in connection with the massive cocaine seizure made off the Cork coast last week.

The haul was the biggest in the history of the State, and is believed to be worth more than half a billion euro.

52-year-old Philip Doo and 44-year-old David Mufford - who have addresses in England - and 42-year-old Christopher Wiggins with an address in Malaga in Spain have been charged with possessing cocaine with the intent to import on the "Dances with Waves" ship on November 5th.

The three men appeared before Kinsale District Court this morning.
