Tip off to the Garda€ led to re-arrest of man accidentally freed from prison

Published 26/08/2007

It is believed that a tip off received by Garda€ led to the recapture of Mark Kenny who was mistakenly released from prison in Dublin.

The Garda€ raided a house in the Ballyfermot area which led to the arrest of the 35 year old who was returned to jail.

Mark kenny was set free two months ago instead of another inmate with the same name.

Mark Kenny, who was serving a six year term for robbery, was not due to be released until 2010. He was set free on June 20th instead of his namesake who was serving a short sentence for traffic offences.
