Two appear in court in connection with North Dublin drugs raids

There were angry scenes at a north county Dublin court this afternoon, where several men were due to appear on drugs charges.

It happened after a total of 11 people were arrested during Garda raids in the Coolock area this morning.

So far, two men have been charged and remanded in custody.

Only two men finally appeared before the judge, 18 year old Michael McCabe with an address at Primrose Grove in Darndale was charged with four counts of possession of drugs and posession for sale or supply.

33 year-old Joseph Behan from Edenmore Park in Raheny was charged with three similar counts.

Both were remanded in custody with consent to bail - their own bond of €500 and €1,000 in cash. There were also ordered to sign on daily at Coolock Garda Station.

The pair are due to re-appear before the same court on July 25th.
