Whale and Dolphin watchers gather to keep an eye on the sea for 16th year

The largest annual simultaneous whale watch will kick off later today at headlands across the country.

The event is celebrating the 16th anniversary of the declaration of Irish waters as a whale and dolphin sanctuary.

Padraig Whooley, from the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group, has said that the chances of seeing a whale or dolphin are quite good.
