Woman rescued from Kerry mountains

Published 31/08/2008

A 24-year-old woman is recovering in hospital in Kerry after a fall on the McGillicuddy Reeks yesterday.

She sustained serious leg injuries and a rescue operation was launched.

Conditions on the mountain meant that the area was not accessible by helicopter so members of the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team stretchered the woman to safety.
