British troops injured in Iraq/Afghanistan are 'victims of crime'

Published 10/12/2006

British troops wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan could be awarded millions of pounds in compensation.

The British Government has ruled that they are victims of crime, not war.

A series of test cases will allow 40 injured servicemen to receive up to STG€500,000 each because they were involved in terrorist attacks rather than battlefield combat.
