Italians go to the polls later today in a general election which could see former premier Silvio Berlusconi return to power.
The race is between the 71-year-old and ex-Rome mayor 52-year-old Walter Veltroni.
The vote coincides with mounting concerns over the country's economy and a rubbish collection crisis which has left tons of trash piling up in the streets of Naples.
