Pope speaks out against abortion and euthanasia in Sunday address

The pope has spoken out against abortion and euthanasia in his Sunday blessing, and stressed the sanctity of life 'from conception to its natural end.'
Benedict XVI said life is the work of God, and should not be denied to anyone.
The pontiff also warned against legitimising mercy killings by masking them with - what he called - a veil of human compassion.
