Tesco is changing the slogans on its checkout posters in order to end an ongoing debate about its linguistics.
English enthusiasts argue about whether signs on check-outs should say "10 items or less" or "10 items or fewer".
So Tesco bosses have decided to replace the signs with new ones reading "Up to 10 items" - a solution suggested by language watchdog The Plain English Campaign.
