The terrorist threat facing the UK is "very high indeed'", UK Home Secretary
John Reid said today.
He told the GMTV Sunday Programme the chances of an attempted attack over the
Christmas period were "highly likely".
He said that there are around thirty major "conspiracies" around the country.
Mr Reid said the current UK terror assessment posted on the Government's
Intelligence website was ``severe'' - the second highest level.
