Afghan President escapes assassination attempt

Afghan President Hamid Karzai has escaped unhurt after an assassination attempt.

Taliban fighters fired guns and rockets during an official celebration in the capital, Kabul.

The British Ambassador was among the other VIPs at the event, marking the anniversary of the fall of the communist regime.

Three attackers are dead.
