Eighty Taliban fighters killed in clashes with US forces

The US military claims around eighty Taliban fighters have been killed in a six-hour battle in southern Afghanistan.

American and local troops were on patrol when they were ambushed in Helmand province.

Machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades were fired at them.

But a Taliban official's alleging foreign forces dropped bombs on civilians.
