Nine dead in Baghdad bomb attack

Nine people were killed and 11 others injured in a car bomb explosion at an outdoor market in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

The bomb went off in the mostly Shiite district of Jadida, to the east of the capital.

The market is popular with shoppers and labourers seeking work, and was crowded with people when the blast happened.
