Israeli soldiers have killed at least two more Palestinians during an ongoing offensive in the northern Gaza Strip this morning.
One of the victims was among a group of women who were apparently acting as human shields for gunmen who had taken refuge at a mosque in the town of Beit Hanoun.
Ten more of the women were also injured when Israeli forces opened fire on the group.
Elsewhere, a 22-year-old man was also killed by Israeli soldiers who overran the town earlier this week, but it is unclear if he was a militant or an innocent bystander.
At least 20 Palestinians, most of them militants, have been killed since Israel invaded Beit Hanoun on Wednesday.
The Israeli Government says the operation is designed to halt cross-border rocket attacks.
