Obama is 'thrilled' to have Hillary's support

Barack Obama has said he's thrilled to have Hillary Clinton's backing.

The former First Lady has abandoned her bid to be the Democrat candidate for president.

Her-ex rival now faces making a decision on whether to choose her as his running mate for the November election.

Allan Lichtman, an historian of American politics, said it could be a winning combination; "There is still the chance that the Democrats will put together the so-called 'Dream Ticket', the Obama-Clinton ticket, which would keep the momentum going from this primary season."
