U.S and Russia remain divided over missile defence shield

America and Russia remain divided over a White House plan for a missile defence shield in Eastern Europe.

The idea has helped drive ties between the countries to a post-Cold War low.

George W Bush and Vladimir Putin have been thrashing out the issue, during a farewell summit on the Black Sea.

The US President knows a lot of work lies ahead to convince experts that the shield is not aimed at Russia.
