A US spy satellite has lost power and could fall to Earth in February or March.
An American government official has said it can no longer be controlled and it's not known where on the planet it might come down.
Agencies are monitoring the situation.
The National Security Council spokesman has said numerous satellites have fallen over the years without causing harm.
