Daisy the dog is all heart - she even has the shape growing in her fur.

Rescue centre workers hope the seven-month-old boxer-cross's distinctive markings will help bring her to the attention of new owners.

Appealing for a big-hearted owner to come forward, Maria Wickes, Dogs Trust Essex rehoming centre manager, said: "Daisy has only just come into us but has made quite an impression.

"She is a lovely dog and would make someone a wonderful pet."
