Lucky Joseph's two in a million

Joseph Palmarchuk won a 1.35 million-dollar lottery jackpot in Michigan's Classic Lotto 47 game

Some guys have all the luck and Joseph Palmarchuk's bank account is bulging, thanks to two million-dollar lottery wins.

Mr Palmarchuk won a 1.35 million-dollar (£843,000) lottery jackpot on Wednesday in Michigan's Classic Lotto 47 game. He can now add that to his one million-dollar (£625,000) Tennessee lottery winnings he scooped a few years ago.

Mr Palmarchuk and his wife Phillis moved to Mecosta County, north of Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2011. He says he likes to buy lottery tickets that retailers put aside as mistakes.

The Palmarchuks now plan to hunt for a condominium in a warm state to skip the Michigan winters.
