Former England cricketer Ian Botham was left embarrassed when a naked picture appeared on his Twitter page.

But the former England all-rounder was quick to point out it was not a picture of his manhood, and revealed his account had been hacked.

The offending snap was quickly removed from the micro-blogging site, and Sir Ian confirmed he has changed his password after the x-rated stunt.

Welsh football pundit and former player Robbie Savage alerted his friend to the photograph this morning, writing on Twitter " mate think you been hacked".

In reply Sir Ian wrote: "Y es mate just changed my password !!! There's some idiots out there !!"

The former Test team captain took the prank in good humour, and even thanked the hacker for attracting more hits on his Twitter account.

Sir Ian wrote: " I would like to thank the hacker....I've just got 500 hits in 20mins !!" He later added: "Make that 700 in 25 mins !!!"
