Onesie direction for theme park

A theme park is aiming to create a new world record for the most onesie-wearers in the one place

A theme park is hoping to fashion a new world record - by offering cheap admission to thrill-seekers wearing onesies.

Drayton Manor Park in Staffordshire hopes its "onesie fever" event on Saturday will smash the existing record for the highest number of people wearing the popular garments in one place.

As part of the record attempt, taking place at 12pm on Saturday, anyone sporting a blue, red or yellow onesie - matching the park's logo - will pay an entrance fee of just £5.

Other onesie-wearers will pay a reduced £10 fee to enter the park near Tamworth.

At least 623 participants wearing the all-in-one outfits will be required to set a new world best.

Colin Bryan, the park's managing director, said: "As part of the onesie phenomenon we are attempting to set a new world record for most onesie wearers at the park.

"I would encourage everyone to come together, show off their very best onesie patterns and be part of something big."
