Personalised plates up for auction

DVLA plates are up for auction

Personalised number plates such as AV14 TOR and 13 RPM are coming up for auction.

Other plates in the sale by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) include 12 SEP, SAD 13M and SUV 1T.

Suitable for someone in public relations, the 7000 PR plate is likely to sell for around £2,600 in the three-day auction which starts tomorrow at Wantage in Oxfordshire.

One for someone who might have been in debt in pre-decimal currency times is OWE 2S, while those in the legal profession might be interested in LAW 5A.

Those of an academic bent could go for SC13 NCE, while sports car enthusiasts might like JAG 44A.

Going for £2,500, but probably unsuitable for those of a superstitious nature, is 666 JF, while the same price could be enough to secure 6000 GP for someone in medicine.

Listed for £1,800 is 911 TOW, while those with difficulty remembering numbers or nationality could plump for the £2,400-rated 4444 GB.
