Smoothie operators bid to cut waste

A new campaign to cut food waste is under way

With everybody now going bananas for healthy food, Love Food Hate Waste is launching a new smooth campaign to help advise people to make better use of their fruit and veg.

The news comes as a report into food wastage reveals that in London almost half a million tonnes of food is wasted each year, costing Londoners over £2 billion.

The campaign will be trekking across the country offering free smoothies and drinks to help end the trend.

Love Food Hate Waste is also asking people to share their own juicy creations across social media.

This event is just one of a number of ideas, helping to make Britain less wasteful.
