Joey the giant puppet from West End hit show War Horse is to tread the turf at Wembley by putting in an appearance before the Uefa Champions League Final this weekend.
The life-size creature will be at the stadium on Saturday alongside The Band of the Life Guards who will be on the pitch as the trophy is brought out.
The puppet, enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of visitors to the First World War drama, will be seen prior to the all-German match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich.
War Horse, adapted from Michael Morpurgo's best-selling novel, will open in Berlin at the Stage Theater des Westens on October 20 - the first non-English speaking version of the play.
Morpurgo said: "It's grand, simply grand, that Joey will be there at Wembley at the opening ceremony of the Uefa Champions League Final, along with his friends in the Band of the Life Guards.
"I shall be watching, hoping that Joey behaves himself, that he does us all proud. I'm sure he will."
The production is now in its sixth year in London's West End and in total the international versions of the show have been seen by three million people.
