Royal approval can only be good
In her own quiet way, the Queen is having an impact on the Northern Ireland economy.
Certainly she was responsible for making this reporter late for work yesterday as I tried to navigate past Stormont.
Despite it being many hours before her arrival, the traffic, crowds of people and security made passing by the House on the Hill a long slog.
But aside from these minor inconveniences, the Queen's visit and the surrounding goodwill and blanket media coverage can only have done our reputation good, not to mention boost the coffers of the traders who were able to take advantage of the hoards queueing to see her.
Anything that shows our province in a light which says to potential investors: "That's a place to do business," is to be welcomed, no matter what your views on the monarchy.
